Cloud Services

Cloud services are infrastructure, platforms, or software that are hosted by third-party providers and made available to users through the internet.

Cloud services facilitate the flow of user data from front-end clients (e.g., users’ servers, tablets, desktops, laptops—anything on the users’ ends), through the internet, to the provider’s systems, and back. Users can access cloud services with nothing more than a computer, operating system, and internet connectivity or virtual private network (VPN).

AZURE MANAGED SERVICES

Microsoft Azure is an assortment of cloud computing services, including remotely hosted and managed versions of proprietary Microsoft technologies, and open technologies, such as various Linux distributions deployable inside a virtual machine.

Azure has distinct advantages as a platform for hybrid cloud management and PaaS capabilities, while also bringing a well-integrated environment for testing, developing, and deploying cloud apps.

Managing your infrastructure on Microsoft Azure brings some distinct advantages.

AMAZON MANAGED SERVICES

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s largest cloud computing platform, with over 175 fully featured services deployed from data centers worldwide.

Designing, deploying, and managing a public cloud architecture for your applications and services is one of the most daunting and complex challenges that software companies and application developers have to face.

GOOGLE MANAGED SERVICES

Google cloud covers application, storage, and cloud computing services for backend, mobile, and web solutions using the internet. More than four million apps trust and use the platform.

Businesses and app developers appreciate GCP’s flexibility and scalability, ease of use, and ubiquitous interface, with special emphasis on world-class security and improved choice with hybrid, multi-cloud, serverless, AI and data analytics offerings.

ORACLE MANAGED SERVICES

The hype is here to stay.

While some issues still need some smoothing out, cloud computing has matured a lot over the last few years and is a force to be reckoned with, even in production environments.
Worldwide, billions of euros are invested in future research and development of the cloud and its commercial and technical opportunities, and among the different cloud providers the cloud war is currently raging.
Transitioning to cloud computing is a step in the right direction, but many –if not most– organizations lack the knowledge to do so.

No matter what your choice is, whether you are looking for oracle cloud some of the other providers like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Egnyte, Dropbox, ezTalks or other cloud providers, our team of experts will help you transition smoothly and securely.

MIGRATION SERVICES

During data center transformation, the goal is to ensure every detail is addressed for a safe and smooth transition — and the most efficient use of platforms. But complexities such as stagnant data, abandoned applications, and inconsistent processes can be discovered along the way. Using the right methodologies is critical to meet availability, scalability, security, and efficiency targets and properly support the business.

With more than three decades of experience, Cloud + Data Center Transformation (CDCT) offers strategy and stability throughout what can be a complex and overwhelming process. We have the knowledge to recognize common pitfalls, fine-tune procedures, and develop flexible, scalable migration and consolidation solutions.

OUR MIGRATION SERVICES CAN HELP YOU:
  • Increase visibility of your IT estate, including infrastructure, configurations, and dependencies.
  • Plan and execute migrations to support transitions to and from private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid models.
  • Support business growth and modernization efforts
  • Improve processes and governance to control expenditures and reduce risk.

Simplify IT management and enable digital transformation

VMWARE BASED PRIVATE CLOUD

VMware Expertise, in Your Choice of Data Center Locations

With Rackspace Private Cloud Everywhere powered by VMware, you get a fully managed, single-tenant, dedicated VMware private cloud, in your choice of global data centers — including your own.

This allows you to address data sovereignty requirements, while also locating cloud resources closer to your users — which can improve performance and customer satisfaction.

And because it’s built with self-contained cabinets, your VMware private cloud is designed to expand as your needs increase. This also allows you to reduce and control costs, with your choice of monthly recurring billing or consumption-based billing.

HYPER-V BASED PRIVATE CLOUD

private cloud solution running on Hyper-V enables you run up to 1024 virtual machines on each physical server running in the data centre. With physical CPUs of 32 cores or greater fast becoming common place, it makes sense to consolidate different workloads with varied operating systems and configurations onto one or more host hypervisors.

Hyper-V comes as a built-in feature to Windows and is included with the host Windows licence. Typically if you run 13 or more VMs a Windows data centre licence is more cost effective, allowing you to run as many Windows VMs as you can fit onto the host without having to buy any extra Windows licences for each VM.

And now in Windows 2016 Microsoft have introduced other advances such as Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), which is also included in data centre licensing. S2D allows for high speed/low latency, shared storage with redundancy using only local disks in each server eliminating the cost of expensive Storage Area Networks (SANs).

OPENSOURCE BASED PRIVATE CLOUD

Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer system resources, especially data storage and computing power, without direct active management by the user. The concept has advanced in leaps and bounds over the years and has broken down into IaaS, PaaS, CaaS and many more continue to be discovered every passing season. Cloud computing is the perfect friend for the current IT culture and it is not going anywhere anytime soon. This article handles various opensource Cloud solutions. We shall be looking at PaaS and IaaS cloud solutions

KUBERNETES DEPLOYMENT

Kubernetes has become the leading platform for powering modern cloud-native micro-services in recent years. Its popularity is driven by the many benefits it provides, including:

  1. Cloud-native design: Kubernetes encourages a modular, distributed architecture which increases the agility, availability, and scalability of the application.
  2. Portability: Kubernetes works exactly the same way, using the same images and configuration, no matter which cloud provider or data-center environment is being used.
  3. Open-source: Kubernetes is an open-source platform that developers can use without concerns of lock-in and is the most widely validated in the market today.

Once you select this open-source container orchestration platform, the next step is to select how best to install Kubernetes. Shown below is an overview of the role Kubernetes plays in placing, scaling, replicating, and monitoring containers on nodes.
